Baptist Union County hosts free community health fair

NEW ALBANY, Miss., – Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union County will host a free community health fair on Thursday, Oct. 13 from 7:00 to 9:00 a.m. in the hospital’s front lobby.

The event will feature a host of free screenings and preventive measures including flu vaccines; vision screenings; height, weight and body mass index; cholesterol and blood glucose screenings; and blood pressure checks. In addition to the screenings, important health educational information will be available, as well as a variety of exhibitors. Participants who plan to take advantage of the cholesterol and blood glucose screenings are advised to fast after midnight to produce the most accurate results.
