Baptist's patient care assistants (PCA) are essential to our patient care team and work directly with our registered nurses to deliver quality care and comfort to patients in a variety of hospital settings. This position is the perfect opportunity for undergraduate students and those seeking to establish a career in the health care field.

Certification as a PCA is required for these positions.

Some of the tasks performed by our PCAs include

• Communicating and collaborating with the nursing team to deliver patient care
• Providing basic patient care and comfort
• Participating in ongoing educational activities
• Completing assigned goals and following procedures

Qualifications

Education

• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively using standard English
• Legible writing skills
• Basic computer literacy

Certification/Professional License

• CPR certification
