Baptist DeSoto offers COVID testing in Southaven, MS, by appointment only. You must call 662-772-4343 to schedule an appointment.

COVID testing appointments are available Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and selected Saturdays from 3 p.m. - 7 p.m. You can schedule testing appointments Monday- Friday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

Baptist DeSoto’s drive-thru COVID-19 testing center is located at the back entrance (Entrance 3) facing Interstate 55.

Who Should Get Tested for COVID-19?

If you are experiencing any COVID-19 symptoms (such as new loss of taste or smell, fever, cough, difficulty breathing, repeated shaking with chills (rigors), muscle pain, nausea or vomiting, new onset fatigue, diarrhea and headache), or if you were recently exposed to someone who has COVID-19, you should be tested. If you are having difficulty breathing, call 911.

What Should I Expect at the COVID Testing Location?

• Remain in your car at all times at the testing site, and follow directional signs.
• Before COVID testing, you will be required to complete some paperwork. Please have your insurance information with you.
• A member of the Baptist team will come to your vehicle to collect your sample for testing.
• You should receive your COVID test results in about 7 days.

The fastest way to access your rapid COVID test results is through MyChart, our electronic health record. To create a MyChart account, go to mychart.baptistonecare.org. You can also download the MyChart app from the Apple App Store or Google Play.

If you see “pending” when checking for your results in MyChart, it means your drive-thru COVID test results have not come in yet.
