How do I Apply?

Qualified applicants must submit an application through ERAS (AAMC’s Electronic Resident Application Service) before October 31st in order to be considered for the following academic year beginning July 1st.

When is the interview deadline?

Interviews are offered typically by the end of September into the first week of October. Applications loaded late after this time frame may not be reviewed because interview spots fill quickly.

What is the interview timeline?

Interviews begin in late October and continue through the end of January.

Do I need any recommendation letters?

Yes, 3 letters of recommendation are required.

What is the interview process?

For each interview date, there are typically 6 interview slots. Interviews are conducted in the morning and followed by noon conference. A tour of the facilities follows conference and the interview process is completed by 2:00 p.m.

Where should I stay while I am in Memphis interviewing?

Hotel accommodations will be provided with details available when scheduling the interview.

Will I meet any of the current residents?

Yes, we hold an Applicant’s Dinner the night before the interview. Two current residents host the dinner, which includes transportation. The dinner usually starts at 6:00pm. The dinner gives the applicant an opportunity to discuss the program with current residents in a more relaxed and informal environment.
